Leeds Cathedral Choirs with The Sixteen
Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September saw another absolutely wonderful weekend with The Sixteen and Harry Christophers at Leeds Cathedral.
The Senior Boys, Girls and Schools Scholars Choirs were joined by members of The Sixteen for two days of intense and inspiring rehearsal on a demanding programme, ending with a beautiful performance in the cathedral, including music by Byrd (Quomodo Cantabimus), Victoria (Ave Maria a8), Vivanco (Magnificat octavi toni a8) and Lucy Walker (Ave virgo sanctissima).
All our young singers join the Cathedral Choirs from our schools sessions, reaching around 6800 children every week, with 140 children singing in the Cathedral’s choirs weekly, and another 14 after-school choirs running across the Diocese.
